One such field was that of exoskeletons intended to enhance the endurance and speed of the fighting soldier. Based on the earlier ‘battleframes’, a modified suit has been deployed specially adapted for close quarters fighting.
The Totsugeki-Gaikokkaku squads are highly mobile and armed with weaponry geared towards close range, mounting either an SMG or occasionally a rapid-firing compression rifle. The suits also incorporate a close combat blade, which the soldiers taking pride in mastering to a fearsome level of proficiency.
